Total and Belron are joining forces in Africa to develop Carglass®, specialising in professional and high-quality vehicle glass repair and replacement.
Under this deal and following a successful test phase including the launch of ten sites in Morocco since 2017, Belron has granted Total a ten-year exclusive operating licence for the Carglass® brand across the African continent, except for certain countries in Southern Africa.
The Carglass® service includes vehicle glass repair and replacement, as well as the recalibration of driver assistance cameras, combining the quality of world-renowned Carglass® products and procedures with the quality of services provided by qualified and professional staff. Carglass® and the Belron group deliver their high standard service every year to over 18 million customers worldwide.
This service supplements the tailored car maintenance service that Total provides at its “Total Quartz Auto Service” and “Total Quartz Auto Care” centres, as well as services formed with other major partner chains.
By developing the Carglass® concept in Africa, Total is responding to developments on the car market and the continent’s specific needs, as well as confirming its aim to be a benchmark brand known for its proximity to customers.
“We’re very happy to offer our customers this new high-quality service, which is fully aligned with our aim to partner with strong brands renowned in their field,” said Stanislas Mittelman, Africa Director at the Marketing & Services division of Total.
“Total operates in many African countries and is renowned in them for the quality of its products and services. We’re delighted with this partnership, which will enable us to offer the Carglass® service and expertise at Total service stations on the African continent. Soon, we will also be offering the camera recalibration service in the African region, a very specific and complex business that is seeing strong growth in Europe and the US,” says Nigel Doggett, Regional Director at Belron.
